A man was arrested in relation to a shooting in Mississauga earlier this week, according to the Peel Regional Police.
The victim, identified as 42-year-old Hammad Shaikh, was found with an “apparent gunshot wound” Friday around 11 a.m by the police officers, according to a release by the Peel Regional Police on Saturday. The deceased is said to have been declared dead at the scene in Scott’s Brae Park in Mississauga.
Peel Police has since arrested a 34-year-old man, who is believed to have known the deceased, in relation to the shooting.
The arrested was supposedly charged with first-degree murder with a bail hearing scheduled for Saturday at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
