One Person in Critical Condition After Brampton Highrise Fire
Brampton highrise fire sends one person to the hospital in critical condition. Reportedly, the second floor of an apartment building had a lot of smoke coming out of it, according to an image shared by Brampton Fire and Emergency Services.
The incident took place before 8:20 a.m. which is when the Brampton Fire and Emergency Services crews were called about a fire at an apartment building at Kennedy and Tullamore roads. Peel Regional Paramedic Services shared that they transported one person in critical condition to a local hospital. The victim’s name or age has not been shared yet.
According to reports, paramedics assessed four other people at the scene for minor injuries. An image shared by Brampton Fire and Emergency Services on Twitter shows heavy smoke coming out of what seems to be an apartment on the second floor. The tweet says, “Crews are currently operating at an apartment fire on Kennedy Road and Tullamore Road. Upgraded to a 2nd alarm. Temporary road closures in the area. ^NR @ChiefBoyes @BPFFA1068.”
As of now, it is unclear how the fire started. Officials also announced that Kennedy Road is shut down at Tullamore and Tullamore is closed in both directions because of the fire.
