Mayor Patrick Brown has annoucned a distribution of free faraday devices which will help combat the problem of growing car thefts in the city.
Where several have claimed it to be band-aid solution, Mayor Brown claims that a $6 device can help in protecting a $60,000 car from being stolen in less than 60 seconds.

The said motion will be presented for debate on February 8, and if passed, it will be confirmed by the city council on February 8, Wednesday.
Patrick Brown said, “Auto theft represents hundreds of millions of dollars of financial loss to Brampton residents and is a major contributing cause of high insurance premiums. It’s time to put the brakes on.”
