Peel Police Seek South Asian Male Posing as Rideshare Driver in Brampton Sexual Assault Case
The suspect is described as South Asian, medium complexion, black faded hair (short on top), well-kept full black beard, medium to muscular build, average height, approximately 20-25 years old, wearing a blue or black winter jacket and black pants.
Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a sexual assault investigation.
On Friday, November 8, 2024, at 7:48 a.m., an 18-year-old woman from Brampton was at the bus stop at Goreridge Crescent and Via Romano Way in the city of Brampton when an unknown suspect approached her in a vehicle and presented himself as a rideshare driver. The suspect offered the victim a ride in exchange for a cash payment.
The suspect proceeded to drive the victim to an area near the Clareville Conservation on Highway 50 and Gore Road in Brampton, where he allegedly sexually assaulted the victim.
The suspect is described as South Asian, medium complexion, black faded hair (short on top), well-kept full black beard, medium to muscular build, average height, approximately 20-25 years old, wearing a blue or black winter jacket and black pants.
The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-coloured four-door sedan.

Special Victims Unit is seeking any dashcam footage between the hours of 7:40 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. in the area of Highway 50 from Steeles Avenue to Cottrelle Boulevard, Steeles Avenue East from Highway 50 to Goreway Drive.
