Premiere Ford is more than happy to have a conversation with Brampton’s Mayor Patrick Brown about Brampton University.

On Friday morning, Premiere Doug Ford along with Health Minister Sylvia Jones, Mayor Patrick Brown, MPPs, and councilors announced the location for the brand-new School of Medicine in Brampton. He mentioned that Brampton Civic Center located at 150 Central Dr. Rampton has been chosen as the location of the first medical school of Brampton.

Parvasi Media Group questioned Premiere Ford about the long-due conversation about Brampton University and how Brampton deserves its fair share. Replying to Parvasi’s question, Ford said, “I’ll never say never because there are always opportunities. As this community grows, they’re going to have needs and requirements.” He further mentioned that he will be more than happy to sit and discuss with the mayor about the same.

Mayor Patrick Brown also addressed the question and said, “Sure, there are other things that a city would want, but you have to acknowledge progress when it’s happening because, for decades, we didn’t have progress.” He stated the province’s commitment to building a new TMU School of Medicine in Brampton as a “Dream come true.”

The TMU School of Medicine will open in Brampton in 2025 with “revitalization” starting this year, as per the tweet by the Deputy Mayor.
