Punjab approves action against rioters under army act
Lahore: The Punjab caretaker government has granted approval for taking action against individuals who were involved in the vandalism of public and private properties, as well as military installations, in accordance with the Pakistan Army Act.
During a meeting chaired by caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, a decision was made to take action against the individuals involved in the violence, with a directive to apprehend them swiftly.
The authorities were instructed to prioritise inter-agency collaboration among all security institutions to effectively identify the actual culprits responsible for the acts of terrorism. Naqvi informed the meeting that investigators were analysing CCTV recordings to identify the culprits involved, with the aim of ensuring their prompt arrest.
