Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Dedicate 400 New Clinics to People of Punjab

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal have dedicated 400 new clinics to the people of Punjab. The ‘Aam Aadmi’ clinics have helped over a million individuals, according to Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh. These clinics provide a free basic package of necessary medical services.

The state of Punjab now has 500 Aam Aadmi clinics after 400 new clinics were dedicated to its residents by Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. These clinics have been opened in just 10 months, Kejriwal emphasized while speaking at the event which was also attended by AAP MP Raghav Chadha and Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh.

These clinics were first launched in 2015 and in the past 10 months, their number has increased significantly. Kejriwal also stated that more facilities will be built in the future. Punjab’s Health Minister backed these clinics and said that more than one million people have been helped by these clinics and an additional three lakh people have been examined for free. He added that the AAP government’s top priority is free education and the best medical care for the people of Punjab.

These Mohalla Clinics were launched in 2015 with the aim to provide a free basic package of medical services which includes prescription drugs, consultations, and diagnostic tests. At these clinics, there is a doctor, a lab assistant, and a technician for getting patients’ Aadhaar card information. The doctors at these clinics are paid Rs. 30 per patient they see each day.

Delhi’s CM Kejriwal, during his announcement, asked the people of Punjab to have some patience and that all guarantees made by the party will be fulfilled. Referring to the party’s promise in the campaign to the 2022 elections, he said, “I am happy to say that Bhagwant Mann has fulfilled one more ‘Kejriwal ki guarantee (Kejriwal’s guarantee)’”

Recently, CM Mann was accused by the opposition party of being a remote control for AAP. They claimed that Mann was running Punjab from New Delhi and following the directions of Delhi’s CM Kejriwal. At the time, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said, “I want to ask Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann that you are the chief minister of Punjab, Punjab should be run from Punjab only. Bhagwant Mann should not come under pressure of (Arvind) Kejriwal ji and Delhi. You should work independently and should not be under the remote control of anyone.”
