Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s OSD Manjeet Singh Sidhu has increased the political stir in the capital by suddenly resigning late on Friday night. Sidhu was very close to CM Mann and was working with him for a long time.

It is being told that his resignation has been accepted immediately. Although he has resigned citing health problems, informed people say that the resignation has been given due to political reasons.

Sidhu was not available for comment. Hailing from Mansa district, Sidhu has also been associated with many Punjabi newspapers and has played an important role in bringing Aam Aadmi Party closer to the media. Experts say that some people in the government and the party did not like him and they also created obstacles in his becoming OSD. They have played a role in forcing him to step down.
