PUNJAB TOURISM SUMMIT: CULUTRAL EVENT MESMERISES AUDIENCE WITH “BOUQUET OF FOLK SONGS”
Mohali: The students of Punjabi University mesmerised audience by performing various cultural events and infused cultural flavor in the vicinity during Punjab Tourism Summit and Travel Mart being organized at Amity University by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to promote tourism in a large scale.

The cultural performances such as Sammi, Jhumar and Luddi performed by the students of the same university enthralled the audience. The bhangra performance of these students made everyone dance and this evening memorable.

On this occasion, Punjab Culture Minister Anmol Gagan Mann said that this great effort has been made due to the visionary thinking of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan. She said that Punjab will scale new heights in tourism sector with this unique effort. She lauded the artists who performed in the cultural evening. She added that the Punjab government is committed for the well being of the people of every section.

The Cabinet Minister said that Punjab’s youth is highly skilled and the Punjab government is making every possible effort to harness these skills in positive direction. She said that budding artistes needed a good platform and the Punjab government is providing that platform to these artists. No stone will be left unturned to promote the tourism sector in Punjab.
Earlier, Professor Avtar Singh and his team started this cultural evening with qawali “Nitt Khair Manga Sohniya Main Teri” and Dr. Nivedata’s team performance made the evening memorable. On this occasion, renowned actress and stage coordinator Satinder Satti conducted the stage well.

Apart from this, the students of Punjabi University, Patiala performed jhumar and sammi, while the students of DAV College Ferozepur enthralled the audience by presenting Luddi.

At the end, students of Ludhiana College made the whole hall dance with his Bhangra performance.

Meanwhile, Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa, film actors Nirmal Rishi and Malkeet Rauni and lyricist Babu Singh Maan were present during the event.
