Punjabi University students can access marksheets on DigiLocker
Patiala: The detailed marks cards (DMCs) of Punjabi University here will now be accessible on DigiLocker, a widely recognised platform for keeping official and essential documents.

Punjabi University had previously initiated the process of uploading degree data on DigiLocker, and approximately 70,000 students’ degree data has already been uploaded.

A team from the Department of Computer Sciences, including Vibhu Sharma, Digveer Nagra, and Naveen Vohra, played a crucial role in the digitisation process.

Prof. Vishal Goyal, Controller of the Examination Branch, said initially, the DMCs of all 3rd-semester students, excluding international students, of M.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science have been made available on DigiLocker.

Vibhu Sharma said, “Opening an account on DigiLocker requires an Aadhaar number. Since international students do not have an Aadhaar card, they are currently unable to create an account on DigiLocker. The issue has been communicated to the nodal agency of DigiLocker, and it is actively working on a solution.”

Prof Goyal emphasised that documents on this portal are secure and easily accessible. He said users can view their documents through the DigiLocker app on their mobile phones within seconds, anywhere in the world.
