The Supreme Court, on Tuesday, is scheduled to hear a bail petition filed by Manish Sisodia, who was arrested on Sunday in relation to the alleged corruption in the now-scrapped liquor policy of Delhi for 2021-22.

The apex court is scheduled to hold a hearing on the matter at 3.50 pm on Tuesday, with Abhishek Manu Singhvi representing the Delhi Deputy CM.

On Monday, the top court granted the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) a 5-day remand of the Delhi Deputy CM for interrogation-related purposes.

Just a day after his arrest, Aam Aadmi Party workers across the nation staged protests advocating for Sisodia’s early release, many of whom were detained by the police and were pictured with handcuffs.
