Single Vehicle Rollover on QEW Leaves Two Seriously Injured

On Sunday morning, two people were trapped inside a vehicle after it rolled over on the QEW in Mississauga.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on the Fort Erie-bound lanes of the QEW, between Mississauga Road and Erin Mills Parkway, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll into the right shoulder ditch and trap the two people inside.

Mississauga Fire Services rescued the driver and passenger from the vehicle, and the Ontario Provincial Police said they were taken to two separate hospitals for treatment of their serious injuries.

Currently, the right lane is closed, but the two left lanes are open.
