Sukhjit Singh, 24 Year Old, Arrested in Brampton Assault Investigation

Sukhjit Singh is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Patrol officers from 22 Division are investigating an assault that took place at a plaza located in the area of Hurontario Street & Wanless Drive in Brampton.

On Sunday, October 29, 2023, at approximately 12:29 a.m., police responded to reports of multiple people fighting outside of a bar in the area of Hurontario Street and Wanless Drive in Brampton.

Video shared on social media of the alleged incident shows a group of people kicking a victim on the ground. A second person can be seen kneeling beside the victim. Fights then continue as someone records from what appears to be inside a vehicle.

Upon arrival, police located two victims, a 20-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man. They were both taken to a local hospital and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Shortly thereafter, patrol officers located and arrested one of the suspects involved. As a result, Sukhjit Singh, a 24-year-old man from Brampton was charged with Assault.

He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
