Suspect Drove Car Into Vaughan Mills Mall Before Robbing a Store

York Regional Police are looking for a suspect or multiple suspects who drove a car through Vaughan Mills mall and robbed a store. No injuries have been reported but there has been significant property damage. The police has asked for any information or video footage of the incident.

Just after 1 a.m. today, February 1, a car drove through the doors in Entrance 1 at Vaughan Mills mall located near Highway 400 and Rutherford Road. It is unclear how many suspects were in the vehicle and investigations are underway to determine if there were more passengers in the car. After driving in the mall, the vehicle stopped at an unnamed store and the suspect/ suspects took an unknown quantity of items. The vehicle then drove through the gates at Entrance 6 and fled the scene.

There were no injuries, but the police have said there has been significant property damage. They also shared that the suspect/ suspects were driving a black sedan with front-end damage.
