“There are more announcements coming that will generate thousands of jobs in Brampton,” Says Gurpartap Toor
Toor highlighted the understanding between the provincial government and the council to be one of the reasons for the fast development of the city.
Magna International announced one of their 6 plants in the province will be placed in Brampton at 100 Ace Drive near Dixie and Countryside in the Wards 9 and 10.
Regional councilor, Gurpartap Singh Toor said, “There will also be a job fair before summers, as 560 high skilled jobs will be created. City will be coordinating with them for the same and we are hoping the local community can benefit from the jobs created by the EV plant.”
Gurpartap went live on Parvasi Radio to talk about the latest announcement of an EV plant being placed in Brampton by Magna International and how it will lead to generation of more than 500 jobs in the city.
Toor highlighted the understanding between the provincial government and the council to be one of the reasons for the fast development of the city. He said, “A lot is going on in the pipeline, and within the next few months, there will be more announcements by the Brampton Council which will generate jobs for the residents.”
He further talked about the plans of electrifying Brampton Transit and how it will be the first city in the province to have fully electric bus transit. “Brampton Fire also purchased its first electric truck. When we look at the future, we vision a green economy that works in harmony with the environment and also leads to generation of more jobs,” Toor said.
