Toronto High School Under Lockdown After 1 Student Shot

Although it is unclear what grade the victim is in, the Toronto District School Board has confirmed that they are a student there.

After a shooting occurred at a high school in Toronto, a pupil was taken by ambulance to the hospital with critical wounds.

According to police, the incident happened outside Weston Collegiate Institute shortly after 12 p.m. on Thursday, according to the investigation.

Although it is unclear what grade the victim is in, the Toronto District School Board has confirmed that they are a student there.

Police tape preventing entrance to a parking lot at the back of the school is visible in aerial footage taken at the scene. There are also dozens of emergency vehicles on the site.

According to police, a suspect is suspected of fleeing the site of the incident. There hasn’t been a description of a suspect yet.

According to authorities, the victim was discovered at the location with a gunshot wound. They were then transported by emergency run to the hospital.

The shooting is only the most recent instance of violence at a school in the Greater Toronto Area in recent months.
