Toronto Pearson Airport operations affected by Air Canada outage

Operations at Toronto Pearson International Airport were impacted Thursday afternoon due to an outage suffered by Air Canada.

Air Canada stated that it was “experiencing an IT issue affecting airport check-in at [Toronto Pearson]” in a tweet sent out on Thursday afternoon.

The airline recommended that customers check-in online or via mobile before heading to the airport.

According to Toronto Pearson, the disruption had an impact on processes like check-in, baggage delivery, and gating.

The airline said that the problem had been rectified at about 3:30 p.m.
