Tragic Multi-Vehicle Collision Claims One Life on Northbound Hwy. 427 near Mississauga

Earlier today, on June 5, a tragic multi-vehicle collision occurred on northbound Hwy. 427, just east of Mississauga. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) confirmed through social media that the serious incident took place shortly after 10 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Hwy. 427, north of Finch Ave. and approaching Hwy. 407.

Regrettably, the collision resulted in the loss of one individual’s life. Information regarding any additional injuries has not yet been made available to the public.

In response to the incident, authorities have closed all northbound lanes of the highway. Traffic is being diverted at Finch Ave., and motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes. The closure is anticipated to persist for several more hours as the police conduct their investigation into the collision.
