Two teenagers and two adults have been detained by Peel Police in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Mississauga.
Four suspects showed up at a shop on Saturday, January 29, at 2:56 p.m. in Mississauga’s Clarkson Rd/Lakeshore Rd neighborhood. One of the suspects is said to have remained in the car as three others approached the establishment.
According to police, one of the suspects was carrying a firearm and made an attempt to enter the business but was unsuccessful. No one was hurt physically, and the perpetrators are thought to have driven off in a white Elantra that was stolen from Peel Region.
The suspect vehicle was spotted by officers nearby, and they were able to stop it.
The stolen car also included a loaded 9-millimeter handgun with ten rounds of ammo, according to the police. All four suspects were detained, and a number of accusations were brought against them, including armed robbery, disguising oneself, possessing property obtained via criminal activity, and disobeying a court order.
Taejuan Johnson-Pinnock, 20, Michael Hilaire, 19, and two 17-year-old Brampton teens, whose identities are protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are the defendants. On Sunday, January 29, the suspects were detained pending a bail hearing in Brampton.
