Mississauga
Open:
While most businesses will shut their doors, essential services such as police, fire, paramedics, and hospitals will remain operational. Additionally, smaller grocery stores like Rabba Fine Foods, many gas stations, and convenience stores will be open. Residents can also enjoy skating at the Celebration Square ice rink, watch movies at local theatres, or visit the Mississauga Chinese Centre. Select cafes, bars, and restaurants may be open, but it’s advisable to call ahead to confirm.
Closed:
Major shopping destinations, including Square One Shopping Centre, Erin Mills Town Centre, Dixie Outlet Mall, and Heartland Town Centre, will be closed. Similarly, most large grocery stores, banks, libraries, community centres, and liquor outlets such as LCBO and The Beer Store will remain closed. Government offices at all levels, as well as Canada Post, will not be operational.

Region of Peel non-emergency services will take a break from December 25 until January 2. Waste collection will not occur on December 25, and TransHelp offices will be closed from December 25 to January 1. Brampton Transit will operate on a reduced schedule, while GO Transit will follow a Saturday service schedule.
