Young Boy Murdered by Friends as Altercation Over a Mobile Phone Turns Violent
A young boy from Buraj Hussan village near Phillaur was murdered by his friends in an altercation that got violent. The three accused and their families are still at large, and the police are conducting raids to apprehend them. The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
Raman Kumar, according to reports, was with his three friends Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi, Lavepreet Singh alias Khatti, and Davinder Singh. All of them are residents of Buraj Hussan village near Phillaur. According to Deputy Superintendent of the Police (DSP) Phillaur, Jagdish Raj, stated that there was a minor quarrel as Gurpreet Singh refused to return Raman Kumar’s mobile phone. The altercation then turned violent and the three murdered Kumar with sharp-edged weapons.
All three accused, along with their families, are on the run and the police is conducting raids to nab them. A case has been registered under section 302, 34IPC against the accused. As of now, it is unclear what the three used to murder Kumar.
Kumar’s body was sent to his family members after post-mortem in Civil Hospital Phillaur, as per DSP Raj.
