After two teens had previously been charged for making online threats against schools in the Peel region, another teenager, a 15-year-old youth from Mississauga, was also arrested on Friday and charged in relation to the online threats made against Lincoln Alexander Secondary School in Mississauga, according to a statement by the Peel Regional Police on Saturday.

The 15-year-old has since been released and is set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, the news release on Saturday added further.

The boy was identified, according to authorities, after they investigated a different threat made against the same school on Thursday. A 16-year-old Mississauga girl was detained and charged with making threats. Since then, she has been released with conditions.

On the same day, the police probed a different threat made against a different school. For allegedly making a threat against the Chinguacousy Secondary School in Brampton, a 14-year-old boy was arrested and charged. He has since also been released with conditions.

Back on March 2, the threats against six high schools in the area were brought to the notice of the Peel Regional Police. The threats, however, do not seem to be related, according to the Peel police’s news release.

The identities of the arrested teens have not been revealed by the authorities in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
