Bank Robber Flees Empty-Handed After His Getaway Bike Gets Stolen
Suspect Flees Empty-Handed After Attempted Heist. Thief Becomes Victim as Bicycle Gets Stolen
Hamilton police are investigating a peculiar attempted bank robbery on Upper Paradise Road that unfolded like a scene from a crime caper. The incident, which occurred recently, involved two suspects—one attempting to rob a bank and the other stealing his getaway bicycle.
According to police, the first suspect entered the bank heavily disguised, wearing a long, multi-coloured scarf over his head, black sunglasses, a blue surgical mask, and a black jacket with fur trim. Approaching a teller, he handed over a note demanding cash and implied he was armed. Despite the threat, bank employees confronted the suspect, forcing him to flee the premises empty-handed.
The drama intensified as the suspect exited the bank to find his bicycle had been stolen. Left with no transportation, he fled on foot, heading south on Upper Paradise Road toward Elmwood Avenue.
