Several farm animals were killed after a barn caught fire north of Caledon yesterday (Feb 2.).

Officers from the Dufferin Detachment were dispatched to a property on 8th Line in Amaranth, about 40 kilometres north of Caledon, for reports of a barn fire, according to the OPP.

While no humans were injured, police say several farm animals died in the fire, which was fought by firefighters from multiple local fire departments.

The Shelburne Fire Department is investigating, and the fire has been deemed “non-suspicious,” according to police.
