Upon arrival at a primary inspection booth, the commercial truck driver was directed for a secondary examination, during which border services officers uncovered 202 brick-shaped items that tested positive for suspected cocaine, the CBSA reported.

The total weight of the presumed narcotics amounted to 233 kilograms, with an estimated street value of $6.5 million, according to the border agency. At that juncture, the driver was apprehended and handed over to the custody of the RCMP.

Dhanju has been accused of importing cocaine and possessing it for the purpose of trafficking. Despite being released on bail, he is scheduled to make a court appearance in February.
