Brampton to Raise Taxicab Tariffs, Cut Licensing Fees Starting January 2025
The initial fare for taxicabs will rise by 9.5 per cent from $4.25 to $4.75 for the first 125 metres and $0.25 for each additional 125 meters.
The City of Brampton is introducing key amendments to the Mobile Licensing By-law 67-2014 aimed at helping to support the local taxicab industry. Effective January 1, 2025, taxicab tariff rates will increase to better reflect operating costs, while licensing fees will be reduced to provide financial relief to the industry.
