Brampton Transit fare increases set to take effect on May 1
Presto e-Purse trips will go up to $3.40 from $3.10.
The City of Brampton has announced that Brampton Transit and PRESTO fares will increase on May 1, 2023. After three years of fare freezes, the proposed fare increases for adults, youth, and non-resident seniors have been approved by the council. Commuters who regularly use Brampton Transit to navigate the city should take note of the fare increases.

According to the announcement made on April 17, the universal cash fare flat rate will increase by 50 cents, from $4.00 to $4.50. Similarly, Presto e-Purse trips will go up to $3.40 from $3.10. In addition, weekly Presto passes for adults will be increased to $37.50, while monthly passes will rise from $128.00 to $141.25 per month. This amounts to an approximate 10 percent increase in fees.
