Canada-Wide Arrest Warrant Issued for Truck Driver Navjeet Singh, 29, After Manitoba Crash Kills Mother and 8-Year-Old
The RCMP confirmed that officers attempted to find him in Winnipeg but have been unable to determine his whereabouts.
A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for Navjeet Singh, a 25-year-old truck driver from Brampton, Ontario, in connection with a tragic collision near Altona, Manitoba, that claimed the lives of a mother and her eight-year-old daughter.
The Manitoba RCMP identified Singh as the driver of the semi-truck involved in the fatal crash last Friday, approximately 13 kilometers west of Altona. Singh is facing two charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and one charge of obstructing a peace officer. The allegations have yet to be proven in court.
According to investigators, the semi-truck failed to stop at an intersection, resulting in a devastating collision with an SUV. The SUV’s 35-year-old driver and her young daughter were pronounced dead at the scene. Singh, who was initially hospitalized for injuries sustained in the crash, was later released.
