Canada won’t tolerate foreign interference by China, says Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly at G20 summit

Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly told her Chinese counterpart Qin Gang in a“direct, firm, and unequivocal” manner that Canada would not tolerate any Chinese interference in its internal matters at the sidelines of the New Delhi G20 Summit, according to a statement by the Foreign Affairs Minister on Friday.
“Canada will never tolerate any form of foreign interference in our democracy and internal affairs by China…“We will never accept any breach of our territorial integrity and sovereignty…We will never accept any breach by Chinese diplomats of the Vienna Convention on Canada’s soil,” Minister Joly told Qin, according to the statement she shared to Twitter on Friday.
