Construction of one of Canada’s largest Tesla charging stations is currently underway in Mississauga. The forthcoming “supercharger” station will be located at Applewood Village Plaza on 1077 North Service Rd., as reported by Drive Tesla Canada and Tesla Owners Ontario.

Drive Tesla Canada claims that this new charging station will be the largest in Canada, featuring 32 stalls. Currently, the largest station is situated in Hope, B.C., with 24 stalls. However, Tesla Owners Ontario asserts that it will be the largest supercharger station in Ontario.

The 32 stalls will be positioned in the southwest corner of the parking lot, with 24 stalls facing North Service Road and eight stalls along Insley Road.

While the installation of the stalls is progressing swiftly, utilizing prefabricated superchargers, the parking lot necessitates repaving, and final hydro connections are still required. Consequently, it may take some time for the station to become fully operational, according to Drive Tesla Canada.

This charging station brings welcome news to Tesla drivers, as the current options in Mississauga are limited. According to Google Maps, there are stations at Sherway Gardens and in Meadowvale on 3155 Argentia Rd. Individuals took to Twitter to express their enthusiasm for the development, citing the much-needed relief it would provide from the consistently crowded Sherway Gardens station.
