In a tragic incident three women hailing from Gujarat, India died in a devastating car crash in the United States.

The victims, identified as Rekhaben Patel, Sangitaben Patel, and Manishaben Patel, all residents of Gujarat’s Anand district, tragically lost their lives when their SUV veered off the road, catapulting over a bridge in Greenville County, South Carolina.

According to statements from the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, the SUV was traveling northbound along the highway when it abruptly swerved across all lanes, ascended an embankment, and launched approximately 20 feet into the air before colliding with trees on the opposite side of the bridge.

Chief Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis conveyed to news outlet WSPA that the circumstances indicate the vehicle was exceeding the designated speed limit at the time of the accident, further noting the absence of any other vehicles involved in the incident.

“It is obvious they were traveling above the posted speed limit,” Chief Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis told news channel WSPA. He also clarified that no other cars were involved.

Upon discovery, the car was found entangled in a tree, fragmented into numerous pieces, underscoring the sheer force of impact it endured.

“Rarely do we witness a vehicle departing the roadway at such an extreme velocity, traversing 4-6 lanes of traffic, and ultimately landing amidst the trees at an approximate height of 20 feet,” Mr. Ellis remarked, characterizing the unprecedented nature of the crash.

While the vehicle seemingly landed upright, Mr. Ellis speculated that during its airborne trajectory, it likely made contact with trees at a significant elevation above the ground.

In response to the distressing scene, emergency responders, including personnel from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Gannt Fire and Rescue, and multiple units from Greenville County EMS, swiftly mobilized to the site of the accident.

Regrettably, amidst the wreckage, only one individual emerged as a survivor, sustaining injuries and subsequently receiving medical treatment. The extent of their injuries remains uncertain, with family members notified of the incident through the vehicle’s detection system, prompting immediate alert to local authorities in South Carolina.
