Driver Dies After Head on Collision on Highway 410 in Brampton, Was Going the Wrong Way

A head on collision on Highway 410 in Brampton left one man dead after he was spotted driving on the wrong side. According to the police, the driver was from Oakville and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been revealed as of yet.

Ontario Provincial Police shared via a video on Twitter the details of an accident that left one man dead. The incident took place at around 3 a.m. on Wednesday when a man was driving the wrong way on Highway 401 in Brampton and crashed head on into a transport truck in the southbound lanes between Steeles Avenue and Highway 407.

The 30-year-old man from Oakville was pronounced dead at the scene and the southbound section of the highway was closed for investigation. No one else was injured during the incident. The identity of the victim is unknown at this point.

Furthermore, there were reports of the same driver going the wrong way earlier in the night. Police has asked anyone with dashcam footage to come forward and share it.
