Environment Canada Issues Heat Wave Alert for Ontario, Urges Precautions to Beat the Heat
Environment Canada has issued a heat wave alert for most of Ontario, including the Greater Toronto Area, which is expected to continue until Thursday. According to the alert, the actual temperature will range between the high 20s and low 30s, with a humidex reaching the high 30s to low 40s.
While the extreme heat will affect everyone, certain groups, including young children, pregnant women, older adults, individuals with chronic illnesses, and outdoor workers, face greater risks. It is advised to take precautions to stay safe during this period.
