Flash Flood Warning Issued for Credit River Areas in Peel Region
Peel Region, Canada – A flood outlook statement has been issued by Credit Valley Conservation following heavy rainfall overnight, raising a possibility of a flash flood along the Credit River and its tributaries in Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon. The area witnessed 30-50mm of rainfall last night, into the morning.
The statement issued by Credit valley conservation warns of localized flash flood water pooling on the roads and in flood-prone and low-lying areas, however, it eliminates the possibility of flooding of the Credit River its major tributaries. It further warns people to stay away from all watercourses and urges them to keep children and pets away.
