The weather conditions on Boxing Day today are expected to be near-zero visibility due to fog being either anticipated or currently being experienced.

In the vicinity of Hamilton, near-zero visibilities are currently being observed.

For most areas, visibility is expected to improve throughout the morning.

As of 8:05 a.m. on December 26, a fog advisory is in effect for the following locations:

  • Mississauga

  • Brampton

  • Hamilton

  • Oakville

  • Burlington

  • Milton

  • Halton Hills

  • Niagara Region

Some areas along the Niagara Escarpment may continue to experience fog into the afternoon, with visibility potentially dropping significantly and suddenly to near zero.

Travel is likely to be dangerous in certain locations due to reduced visibility. If visibility diminishes while driving, it is advisable to reduce speed, keep an eye on the taillights of vehicles ahead, and be prepared to come to a stop.
