Bathinda: More then 50 gangsters lodged in Bathinda Central Jail have gone on a hunger strike for three days demanding the installation of TV and phone calls in the high-security cell, keeping civil and jail authorities on toes.  Advocate Vikram Satpal Anand of these gangsters will give full details of the case.

“Gangsters lodged in Bathinda Central Jail have been on a strike of over 60 hours now. For now, we have put the writ on hold as we have received a message from the CMO office via email where they have given assurance and directed Administration Secretary Jails and Superintendent, Bathinda Jail to do the following. This is a very positive step taken by the government. We will wait for one more day before filing the writ petition,” read Advocate Vikram Satpal Anand, the counsel of the gangsters.
