GIRL FROM SANGRUR VILLAGE TO REUNITE WITH FAMILY

Chandigarh: In a major breakthrough, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today announced that a Sangrur based girl stranded in Malaysia will be back home soon. In a statement, the Chief Minister said that the girl from village Adakwas in district Sangrur was languishing in Malaysia since long.

He said that the girl had gone to Malaysia in search of green pastures for her family but had landed in rough weather due to a travel agent, which had duped her, after which her family been running pillar to post for her return from the South Asian country. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that when the matter came into his notice he flagged the issue with the Government of India.

The Chief Minister said due to strenuous efforts of the state government the Government of India had raised this issue with the national government of Malaysia. He said that now the efforts made by the state government has borne fruits as the girl has established contact with Indian embassy. Bhagwant Mann said that after this the way has been paved for the return of the helpless girl stuck in Malaysia.

The Chief Minister said that now after the formalities and remaining paper work the girl identified as Gurvinder Kaur will be united with her family. He said that every effort will be made to facility the visit of the hapless girl to the motherland. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state government is duty bound to bail out the state and its people from every sort of crisis.
