Good Samaritan Stops to Help with Broken Down Vehicle, Gets Carjacked

In an attempt to help someone stranded, a Good Samaritan ended up getting carjacked in Caledon. The incident took place earlier this week and the police are looking for the three suspects involved. A description of one of the suspects has been shared and the police are asking citizens to come forward if they have any information.

Shortly before 8 p.m. on Monday at Olde Base Line Road between Kennedy Road and Highway 10, a man spotted an older-model black Honda Civic on the side of the road. As he approached the vehicle, a man moved onto the road and asked for him to stop. Thinking it was “a broken-down vehicle,” the victim stopped and was ambushed by two other men armed with knives.

They fled with the victim’s blue 2018 Audi S5L sedan, according to Ontario Provincial Police. The victim was not harmed in the altercation. The three suspects are being hunted by the police who are asking citizens for any information related to the incident or the three men.

As per the descriptions shared by OPP, one suspect has light Black skin and is about 5-foot-10 with a slender build. He was wearing all-black clothing at the time. The other two suspects are Black, about six-feet-tall, medium built, and were also wearing all black. “Caledon residents and motorists are asked to stay vigilant if they choose to stop to assist a motorist. Instead of stopping, residents and motorists can contact the OPP by dialing *OPP (*677) on their mobile phones to report the disabled or suspicious vehicles,” OPP added.
