GOVT MACHINERY WORKING ROUND THE CLOCK IN FLOOD AFFECTED AREAS
Chandigarh: In order to save precious human lives and property as per the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Government machinery has been working on a war footing to normalise the situation created by torrential rains in the state.
Giving the top most priority to the health of people, the Health Department teams are actively working round the clock in the flood affected areas. At present, 316 Rapid Response Teams have been working in flood ravaged areas, besides setting up 189 medical camps and providing free medicines to the patients.
As per the directions given by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, 26,191 flood-affected people have been evacuated to safe places. A total of 148 relief camps are running in the state in which 3731 people are staying.
