When the two unbeaten teams take on each other, Brampton Wolves will have an advantage of returning to the field after good two days’ rest. On the other hand, Montreal Tigers played their third game on Tuesday. At one stage they were struggling at 7 runs on board after losing two wickets in the opening over of Fabian Allen. But it was Rutherford who single-handedly carried his team through with a hard-hitting unbeaten knock of 84.
He sent a warning to Brampton Wolves. Also in good nick are other Tiger batters like Dilpreet Singh and Dipindra Airee who gave much-needed support to Rutherford after the Tigers were three wickets down before the end of the second over.
Brampton Wolves have their star player Harbhajan Singh. With them now. Though he did not play any of the first three matches, his return to the team will be a great morale booster. Harbhajan must be feeling elated as Montreal Tigers opened their attack with a spinner Fabian Allen, who took two wickets in his first over conceding seven runs, four of which, a boundary, came from a wide. Their other dependable bowler is Colin Brathwaite who took wickets for 20 against the Tigers.
