GT20 Canada: Surrey Jaguars shuns Brampton Wolves
It was the last game for the Wolves as they ended their group engagements with eight points from seven games.
Brampton Wolves suffered yet another reverse losing to Surrey Jaguars by six wickets at TD Arena in Brampton on Tuesday. It was the last game for the Wolves as they ended their group engagements with eight points from seven games. Intriguingly they had six points from the first three games and got only two more, both from abandoned games, in the remaining four games.
Surrey Jaguars’ progress in this mega event has been gradual as it started with a defeat and won the next two before their fifth game was abandoned. With today’s win, they have taken their points tally to eight, the same as Brampton Wolves but are ahead on better run rate.
Today when out to bat first, Brampton Wolves batsmen failed to settle down with the exception of Colin de Grandhomme who made 37 off 37 balls with three hits to the maximum. Other batsmen to reach double figures were Aaron(14), Usman (13), and Mark Chapman (14). The main wreckers of their innings were Aamar Khalid, Aayan Khan and Mathew Forde with two wickets each.
