While promoting his newest movie Mission Raniganj, Akshay Kumar responded to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan’s tremendous box office performance.

Salman Khan, an actor, has declared that the new threshold for movies is $1 billion. Actor Akshay Kumar recently discussed the current box office fad and lauded Shah Rukh Khan’s megahit Jawan, which is the biggest grossing Hindi film of all time and has made more than 1000 crore globally. Akshay claimed that movies like Jawan, Gadar 2, and even his own movie OMG 2 had all performed exceptionally well this year during an interview with India Today.

Akshay, whose newest movie Mission Raniganj debuted in theaters on Friday, expressed his hope that the industry would continue to produce successful films. When Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan did very well at the box office, I was overjoyed. There are numerous other movies, including the successful Gadar 2 and OMG 2. Therefore, it’s excellent for the sector. Because of the Covid-19 days, our industry went through a really difficult period. Now that progress is being made, it’s excellent that a benchmark of $1 billion exists. Additionally, I wish that we produce movies worth 2000–3000 crores like Hollywood does since they lack the type of cinema, the screenplay, and the narrative that we have.
