India’s 77th Independence Day Celebrated in Toronto: Consul General Highlights Strengthening People-to-People Ties

The Consulate General of India in Toronto hosted a vibrant celebration to mark India’s 77th Independence Day. The event, held at the Pearson Convention Center, was graced by distinguished guests, Indian veterans, and community leaders, underlining the robust Indo-Canadian ties.

Consul General Siddhartha Nath commenced the ceremony with a stirring address, reflecting on the growth of India and its enduring partnership with Canada. “India and Canada are natural partners,” Nath emphasized, noting the deepened and diversified strategic partnership between the two nations in recent years. He highlighted the burgeoning trade relations and the increasing presence of Indian companies in Canada and vice versa, which underscore the economic synergy between the countries.
