MP Ruby Sahota went live on Parvasi Radio on Friday, where she mentioend that the international students who have been accused of allegedly using fake offer letters in their study visa files might get benefit of doubt from immigration minister Sean Fraser.

These students have been protesting and demanding justice from the Canadian Government claiming they had not been aware of the fake offer letters and that they were scammed by their immigration consultant in Jalandhar, India. This indication by MP Sahota is huge releif for the international students who have been studying and working in the country for years.

She mentioned 33 students have received removal letters, around 130 investigations are ongoing. She further mentioned that nobody will be removed without giving them a chance to explain themselves. However, Canada will continue to maintain its system’s integrity and people should not get a message that Canadian law is linient towards such negligence and irrenponsibility.

“My heart goes out to those student who are honest and claim they were not aware of the fake offer letters,” said MP Sahota.
