Mayor Patrick Brown Named Brampton’s First Recipient of King Charles III Coronation Medal
In a ceremony held at Brampton City Hall today, Mayor Patrick Brown became the city’s first recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal. The honor was bestowed upon him by Members of Parliament Shafqat Ali and Sonia Sidhu, recognizing his significant contributions to Brampton and his steadfast dedication to public service.
The King Charles III Coronation Medal, established to commemorate His Majesty’s coronation on May 6, 2023, serves to acknowledge individuals who have made remarkable contributions to Canada, whether nationally or within specific provinces, territories, regions, or communities. The medal also honors outstanding achievements abroad that bring credit to Canada.
Expressing his gratitude, Mayor Brown stated, “I am deeply humbled and honoured to receive the King Charles III’s Coronation Medal. This recognition reflects my unwavering dedication to public service and my commitment to the people of Brampton and Canada.
