At the 95th Academy Awards hosted on March 12, an Indian song made history by becoming the first fully Indian song in a Telugu production to win an Academy Award in the ‘Best Original Song’ category. The song in question is MM Keervani and Chandrabose’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the film ‘RRR.’ Composed by MM Keervani and lyrics written by Chandrabose, the song was sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava. This win made it the first fully Indian (Telugu) and Asian song to win the award.
