ONLINE RENEWAL PROGRAM FOR AZ DRIVERS WITH AIR BRAKE LICENCES

Dymon New Ad Dec 5 Test

BRAMPTON, ON – Beginning September 1st, 2023, AZ drivers with a current air brake  endorsement will be eligible to renew their licence through an online learning module program  put forth by the Ministry of Transportation.

Under current policies, in order to operate a vehicle with an air brake or an air-over-hydraulic  brake system, drivers are required to obtain a ‘Z’ endorsement on their Ontario driver’s licence. This can be achieved by completing both knowledge and practical tests at any DriveTest centre. Alternatively, drivers can complete an ‘Air Brake Endorsement’ course through a community  college, safety organization or a vehicle fleet owner. Renewals for this system need to be  completed in person at a DriveTest centre or through a Driver Certification Program  organization.

With the launch of the new online program, drivers will no longer need to complete the in person knowledge test, and instead must complete online learning module to obtain a  ‘Certificate of Completion’ which they will present at any DriveTest centre to complete the  renewal process.
