Peel Police Arrest 18-year-old for Threatening Brampton School on Social Media

An 18-year-old has been taken into custody after posting a threat against a Brampton school online. The school in question is Jean Augustine Secondary School, located in the Mississauga Road and Bovaird Drive area.

Ahmadi Rohullah, an 18-year-old man from Brampton was arrested and charged today, Thursday, for posting an online threat against Jean Augustine Secondary School on Wednesday. The threat indicated that there would be a shooting at the school on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Peel police executed a search warrant at a Brampton home and arrested the 18-year-old who has been identified as Ahmadi Rohullah. He was charged with uttering threats and will appear at Brampton’s Ontario Court of Justice.

This is not the first time a Peel region school has received a threat. Early last month, social media threats were made against seven secondary schools in Peel Region with the intent to “shoot them up.” At the time, three teenagers were arrested for uttering threats. The identities of these youths were not disclosed under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
