Peel Police Crack Down on Dangerous Driving: 250 Charges Laid, 14 Vehicles Seized in Ridgeway Plaza Blitz
Peel Regional Police dedicated nearly 60 officers and over 20 hours during the Labour Day weekend.
Officers from 11 Division Uniform Patrol, Community Incident Response Team, Road Safety Services, Safer Roads Team, and Aerial Support Unit, along with City of Mississauga By-Law officers, initiated a Community Safety Enforcement Project, laying nearly 250 driving-related charges and seizing 14 vehicles in the area of Ridgeway Plaza in Mississauga.
As a result of ongoing community concerns regarding stunt driving and related driving issues in the area of Ridgeway Drive, Peel Regional Police dedicated nearly 60 officers and over 20 hours during the Labour Day weekend (August 31-September 1) to driving offences and ensure road safety.
