The Peel Regional Police (PRP) Fraud Bureau is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a prolific offender wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Between June 2020 and September 2021, the victims from across Canada accepted random friend requests on social media by the suspect, claiming to be active service members of the Military stationed overseas. With time, the friendly communication developed into what the victims believed was a relationship.

The suspect used scripted stories about how he needed the victim’s financial help with his transition home from his military deployment. Agreeing to help and with the assurance of being reimbursed, the victims complied and sent several monetary transfers to the suspect.
